IAAPA

IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) is a non-profit organisation representing operators worldwide. Its headquarters are in Orlando, Florida, US. The association dates back to 1918. It represents 6,000 organisations and individuals from over 100 different countries.

As a global representative for industry professionals, the Association is divided into four splinter groups. These are North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia-Pacific.

The association operates a membership scheme, which both individuals and organisations can sign up for or renew each year. Also, a certification program offers members two professional designations: the IAAPA Certified Attractions Executive (ICAE) and IAAPA Certified Attractions Professional (ICAP) qualifications.

Each year, IAAPA recognises industry talent and dedication with a selection of accolades, including the Brass Ring Awards, Hall of Fame, and Individual Achievement Awards.

The organisation hosts several trade events, or Expos, each year, with the core event happening in the US. The main Expo is held in Orlando, Florida and attracts professionals from around the world. The organisation also runs IAAPA Expo Europe and IAAPA Expo Asia.

IAAPA regularly runs events which support Give Kids The World. This is a Kissimmee-based organisation that supports children with critical illnesses in the US.
