The Concord Museum’s Board of Govenors have approved $13 million plans to build a new education building and renovate the museum.
Founded in 1886, the museum in Concord, MA, holds historic artifacts ranging from Henry David Thoreau’s humble desk to Ralph Waldo Emerson’s book-lined study.
The Concord Museum has seen it’s attendance grow in recent years. Its educational programmes have been particularly popular with enrollment nearly doubling from 2011 levels to 12, 000.
