Gateway Provides Unified Ticketing Solution to Museum of the American Revolution

Leading ticketing solutions company, Gateway Ticketing Systems Inc., is providing its unified ticketing, online sales and F & B solution to the Museum of the American Revolution.

The new Philadelphia attraction, slated to open on April 19th, 2017, is expected to attract 550,000 visitors a year.

Tickets will go on sale on February 22nd to mark George Washington’s birthday. Online ticket sales will be powered by Gateway’s eGalaxy™ Web Store.

In addition, the Museum will utilise Galaxy® point-of-sale software for ticketing, resource management, stored value and upsell functionality, as well as admission control.

“We selected Gateway Ticketing Systems for many reasons,” explained ZeeAnn Mason, Chief Operating Officer the Museum of the American Revolution’s Chief Operating Officer. “Their extensive museum experience and encompassing solutions enable us to unify our operations.

“We are pleased that Gateway’s headquarters are within an hour’s drive. It’s not often that you get to ‘shop local’ for a global software provider.”

The Museum of the American Revolution tells the story of the founding of the United States. It brings to life the people, ideas and determination that led to the creation of American democracy.

Visitors will take a journey through time from the 1760s through the long struggle to independence. The museum’s collection contains numerous original artefacts including revolutionary-era weapons, personal items, letters, diaries, and works of art. The story is further brought to life via immersive galleries, dynamic theatres and recreated historic environments.

Don Eash, Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer at Gateway Ticketing Systems, added: “They’re our neighbour and we want to support them in providing visitors to Philadelphia with an incredible experience. We know that they’ll fast become one of Philly’s most-loved attractions.”

Gateway Ticketing Systems, Inc. is the world leader in ticketing software, admission control and revenue generation for industries including attractions, theme parks, waterparks, tours, zoos, aquariums, museums and historic sites.
