Gateway Ticketing Systems announces success of Webinar Wednesdays

News
Gateway Webinar new guest experience

Gateway Ticketing Systems, a leading provider of admission control systems, held a successful webinar on the new guest experience last week, continuing its new Webinar Wednesdays series.

Gateway Ticketing Systems is pleased to announce the success of its Webinar Wednesdays series, which has covered four different topics so far. The most recent session was entitled The New Guest Experience, and covered the considerations and preparations that operators should be making in order to adjust the end-to-end guest experience before reopening. 392 industry professionals attended the webinar. The series is designed to assist attractions during the coronavirus outbreak.

“We had three panelists who are working for venues and attractions right now during the coronavirus crisis,” says Randy Josselyn, co-host of the event. Josselyn is Gateway’s Zoo & Aquarium expert and was joined in co-hosting the webinar by Matthew Hoenstine, the company’s Theme Park & Destination expert. Between them, the co-hosts have 45 years of experience in the sector.

A panel of professionals

Each episode is supported by a panel of industry professionals. During last week’s webinar, the hosts were joined by Grant Rozich of Palace Entertainment, Jarrid Vaughn from the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, and Brian Vauter from Natural Bridge Caverns.

“We wanted to start the conversation of learning from attractions opening in other countries, and from each other, about what we should be doing right now to prepare to reopen,” says Josselyn. “It was an open forum, and nothing was off-limits.

“We discussed how you might handle the exchange of money or credit cards, how you can update your marketing imagery, whether you will charge for parking, whether you will check temperatures at the front gate or have your employees wear face masks…even to how the automatic sinks may work in the bathrooms and many things in between.”

“The power was in the panellists,” adds Peter Wolf, Director of Sales and Marketing at Gateway Ticketing. “These are real people at attractions struggling through this crisis, dealing with the same issues everyone is dealing with, and taking the time to share what their venue is doing right now to reopen. Whenever that may be.”

Gateway Ticketing has produced four episodes as part of its Webinar Wednesdays series to date. Topics have included best practices for ticketing during the crisis, managing passes and memberships, and new operational strategies.

The most recent recording can be found here. The next webinar is called Reopening Strategies and Transitioning to a Capacity Managed Attraction and registration is now open.

Gateway Ticketing Systems also recently announced that it will be working with one of Canada’s newest attractions, Little Canada, which is set to open later in 2020.
