Vennersys supplies Visitor Management System to Nothe Fort

News
Nothe Fort

Vennersys, the integrated ticketing, retail and visitor management company, was chosen to provide Nothe Fort’s Visitor Management System.

This museum and family attraction in Weymouth, UK, is based in a heritage site that dates back to 1872, built to defend Weymouth and Portland harbours. Over three levels, visitors can discover the fort’s history, as well as enjoying a cafe, gift shop and 360-degree views across the harbours and Nothe Gardens.

VenposCloud streamlines operations

The museum shows how advances in military design and technology altered the Fort until the building’s decommissioning in 1956. Plus, school trips can find out more about life as a WWII evacuee and learn how the war affected seaside towns such as this. The attraction also runs themed events, exhibitions, and even a fun family mouse hunt.

Nothe Fort was listed in the Guardian’s list of Britain’s 10 best small museums and has also been nominated for the pandemic pivot Museums & Heritage award.

Vennersys’ VenposCloud solution allows the attraction to add Gift Aid to admissions tickets and to integrate Gift Aid donations into its daily operations, without the need for form-filling or a separate process. By speeding up the process at the point of sale, this technology increases the take-up of charitable donations.

The attraction also needed a powerful and intuitive EPoS system, capable of processing a range of transactions, such as admissions, retail, catering and memberships. Thanks to Vennersys, Nothe Fort has been able to streamline and centralising ticketing, as well as front-of-house or shop purchases.

As well as making operations more efficient, this also improves the guest experience by cutting waiting times. Nothe Fort can now also use data-driven insights to make informed decisions, getting more information on things like purchase pattern and visitor behaviour. In turn, this can lead to increased revenue and help the attraction cultivate loyal customers.

Enhancing the visitor experience

Nick Symeou, Business Development Manager at Vennersys says:

“We are thrilled to be working with such a unique and celebrated Visitor Attraction. Nothe Fort was looking for a powerful, integrated system that could work across different departments and enhance their customer experience. Our system will also provide them with valuable data insights which can improve the business and visitor experience.

“We believe our solution will improve efficiency in daily operations and increase revenue for Nothe Fort.”

Vennersys was also recently chosen to provide a ticketing and EPoS solution to Great British Car Journey in Derwent Valley, Derbyshire.
