Electrosonic Provides AV Integration Systems for Major New Rolling Stones Exhibition

News

Global audio-visual company, Electrosonic, has provided state-of-the-art AV integrations systems for a landmark exhibition celebrating the career of the Rolling Stones.

‘Exhibitionism’, currently at London's Saatchi Gallery, climaxes with a 3D immersive experience of the band performing ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ live at Hyde Park.

“Electrosonic showed great commitment and dedication to meet the challenge of the three-week installation period, ” commented Ki McGinty, Project Manager at iEC, the company that produced the exhibition. “We were very happy with the skillset and the efficiency of on-site leads and the installation team.”

‘Exhibitionism’ features nine galleries, all decked out with innovative AV technology including 70 LCD screens, showcasing key moments in the band’s 50 year+ history.

Displays include artwork from across the decades along with countless rare items such as clothing and instruments. Fans also get the chance to enjoy recordings, unseen footage and images.

The “Recording” gallery, made to look like a studio, features ten interactive stations equipped with BlackBox headphones and Apple iPads so that guests can listen to some of their favourite Rolling Stones hits.  The “Music and Lyrics” exhibit allows them to have a ‘hands-on’ attempt at mixing a track by altering the recording levels of the vocals, drums and other instruments.

The exhibition’s finale – a 3D ‘live’ performance, using RealD viewing glasses and the latest 3D technology, has been created to give visitors the feeling of actually being at the concert.

“The end result was a great success. Electrosonic met the requirements of both the project and iEC to deliver effective and robust audio-visual systems integration.” adds McGinty.
