The Calgary Tower, possessor of the highest 360° observation deck in the world and icon of the City of Calgary, has selected Gateway Ticketing Systems as their new provider of ticketing and access control, and will go live with Gateway’s flagship Galaxy™ suite in December.
Galaxy™ will be used for pass/membership and group sales as well as selling tickets to the Tower’s almost 300, 000 annual visitors at ticket windows.
The Tower’s previous ticketing and access solution was not sufficiently robust to meet the Tower’s specific business needs, whether for printing membership passes on demand or for providing souvenir tickets as keepsakes for visitors.
According to Erin Beattie, Calgary Tower Manager of Operations & Business Development, the Tower looked at several different options during the Request For Proposal process for a replacement system:
“Value and scalability were our top priorities in choosing a ticketing system. We wanted a software solution that met our business needs and offered a ‘wow’ factor, while still being affordable. Gateway provided value and the ability to grow with us as our business grows. It was clear from their product demos, as well as the great feedback from customer references that Galaxy was the best choice for us.”
