Giant Screen Films (GSF) is celebrating a highly successful world premiere screening of Cuba at this year’s GSCA Conference.
Cuba was made by Golden Gate 3D in association with GSF and BBC Earth.
The response to Cuba was overwhelmingly positive, with viewers praising the quality of the production and the powerful storytelling.
Set for global release in 2019, Cuba is prereleasing now and will be available in all giant screen formats.
Other highlights included Jurassic Flight
The GCSA Conference saw a number of exciting new developments including VR flying experience Jurassic Flight, created by D3D Cinema in partnership with SOMNIACS.
Jurassic Flight is available now and has been developed for the Birdly VR platform. Birdly VR differs from most flight simulators in that it doesn’t require the use of joysticks and buttons. To deliver an experience as close to real flight as possible, participants lie face down and control their ‘flight’ using their arms and hands.
In Jurassic Flight, the rider becomes a pterosaur. The experience sees them soaring, diving and swooping over a world inhabited by megaton dinosaurs such as the Stegosaurus, Allosaurus and Brontosaurus.
Founded over twenty years ago, GSF continues to push boundaries in the large-format industry, producing and distributing immersive films that wow audiences.
