Immotion Group, the Brit start-up with ambitions to become the leading provider of out-of-home VR experiences, has hired Mark Whittaker as its new Sales Manager.
The news follows a bumper response from attendees at last week’s EAG International & Visitor Attractions Expo. The event is the annual showcase for the coin-op, amusements and visitor attractions industries with over 200 manufacturers showcasing the latest industry innovations.
“EAG International was a fantastic event to launch our products,” confirms Immotion Group’s Sales Director, Paul Collimore. “Response was fantastic with a number of advance orders confirmed on the show floor.”
Mark Whittaker joins the team to help drive new business and grow the company’s already expanding customer base.
“I’m really excited to make my return to the industry with such a great set of products and VR experiences,” comments Whittaker.
Mark Whittaker’s industry knowledge ‘second to none’
“We are very pleased that Mark has joined the team,” adds Collimore. “His industry knowledge is second to none and he is a pleasure to work with.”
Immotion Group was founded by industry veterans Martin Higginson and David Marks. In December, the company attracted a £1.3 million investment to develop virtual and augmented reality experiences in Europe and the US.
The company’s VR platform combines motion-activated chairs precisely synchronised with immersive audio and superior visuals.
According to Immotion Group, real-life content and CGI interactive experiences can both be custom-made in-house. This has been made possible thanks to the acquisition of Manchester-based CGI specialist, Studio Liddell, and LA-based creative movie maker, C2K.
