South Carolina’s Edge Adventure Parks is building the Deep River Aerial Adventure Park in Hobart, Indiana. It will invest $600, 000 to $800, 000 in aerial park.
The attraction will be built the in the woods at the Lake County park and is expected to attract around 20, 000 people a year.
The company tuns two other adventure parks and is looking at further sites in both Chicago and Milwaukee. The Hobart park will, as with the existing attractions, feature tunnels, bridges, zip lines, and ladders in the wood’s canopy. It will also include an area for younger children and an obstacle course.
Owner Steven Doniger said, “It’s the first of its kind in Northwest Indiana. You’ll have a bird’s eye view. It will be extraordinary.”
Lake County Parks Department is also going to invest in the Deep River Water Park, adding a $2.7 million Kraken water slide.
