Universal Beijing Resort has released a video unveiling the designs of the seven themed lands at Universal Studios Beijing. The footage also contains comments from Mark Woodbury.

The immersive lands are Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness, Transformers: Metrobase, Minion Land, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World Isla Nublar, Hollywood and WaterWorld.

Mark Woodbury, vice chairman of Universal Parks & Resorts, revealed plans to create a “one of a kind destination”.

“To do that, we took our most popular attractions from around the world and combined them with all-new attractions created specifically for this location, so that together, there’s an experience unlike anything people have ever seen,” he said.

Woodbury added that creating Universal Beijing Resort “is an incredibly complex endeavour”.

“To do it, we’ve taken the talent that we’ve developed over the years around the world and brought it together with some of the most dedicated, talented and creative people we’ve ever met right here in Beijing.

“Together, that collaboration has produced a resort like none other in the world.

“We’re gonna create experiences that create memories that last people a lifetime, and those people are coming from not just Beijing, but around the world.”

Universal Beijing Resort, located in Beijing’s Tongzhou District, was announced in 2014. The destination is expected to open in 2021.

The theme park in China will also feature a Universal CityWalk Beijing entertainment complex and two resort hotels – Universal Studios Grand Hotel and NUO Resort Hotel.
