Universal Beijing Resort has unveiled the seven themed lands coming to Universal Studios Beijing, which will include those inspired by Kung Fu Panda, Jurassic World, Transformers and Harry Potter.
The immersive zones are Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness, Transformers: Metrobase, Minion Land, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World Isla Nublar, Hollywood and WaterWorld.
“We will immerse our guests in incredible experiences that bring their favorite stories and characters to life in entirely new ways,” said Tom Mehrmann, President of Universal Beijing.

“Our theme park will showcase the best Universal rides, as well as all-new, unique experiences specially created to reflect China’s rich cultural heritage.
“We are looking forward to sharing these exciting experiences with millions of visitors.”
Based on the animated movie series, Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness will boast locations including Jade Palace, Panda Village, and the Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom.
Minion Land at Universal Studios Beijing
It will also feature Chinese architecture, F&B, performances, and festive decor.
Transformers: Metrobase is based on Hasbro’s Transformers franchise, but with an expanded story developed for the character Metrobase.
The technologically-advanced zone will have Cybertronian architecture, and will serve as the N.E.S.T. Beijing HQ.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Inspired by Illumination Entertainment’s Despicable Me, Minion Land will house characters and scenes from the films, as well as new shows and mischievous Minions.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will feature groundbreaking attractions, shops, restaurants, entertainment and decor, including snow-capped roof and cobblestone streets.
Dinosaurs will roam again at Jurassic World Isla Nubar, based on the Jurassic World franchise. There will be attractions and adventures, and the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Indominus Rex.

Universal Studios Beijing will also have its own Hollywood Boulevard, with a ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’ attraction featuring directors Zhang Yimou and Steven Spielberg.
The theme park will also house WaterWorld, Universal’s popular stunt show, with thrilling performances and daring stunts.
The experience in Beijing will also expand into a land with dining and more entertainment.
The theme park in China will also feature a Universal CityWalk Beijing entertainment complex and two resort hotels – Universal Studios Grand Hotel and NUO Resort Hotel.
Universal Beijing Resort, located in Beijing’s Tongzhou District, was announced in 2014. The destination is expected to open in 2021.
