Merac, an integrated ticketing, retail and fundraising platform in the Crowd Convert group, has revealed a new service model that reimagines the support available to visitor attractions.

Clients can now work with the Merac Experience Engineers, a team of seasoned industry professionals who go beyond traditional technical assistance to offer operational knowledge, marketing expertise, and visitor-focused approaches.

Practical, agile assistance

Merac’s Experience Engineers have served as operators, marketers and visitor service leads, and each brings extensive, real-world experience in running successful attractions. Their practical experience of balancing commercial pressures, operational realities and changing visitor expectations means that they can provide more than just issue resolution.

Clients can benefit from proactive, strategic support to identify opportunities, make confident decisions and elevate results across the board.

Whether refining website imagery to increase online conversion or redesigning operational reports to surface real-time, actionable insights, the Experience Engineers act as an integrated extension of an attraction’s internal team.

They offer fresh thinking based on practical knowledge to help improve the guest experience, performance and financial outcomes, all while supporting the daily challenges of live operations.

Rehumanising commerce

This unique approach directly responds to a growing demand within the industry for more collaborative support, as attractions navigate evolving visitor behaviours and increasingly challenging market conditions.

Andy Povey, co-founder of next-generation digital engagement solutions specialist Crowd Convert, says: “Visitor attractions excel at going the extra mile and delivering extraordinary experiences for their guests. Why then, should they have to rely on substandard, reactive support?

“At Merac, we believe support should be intelligent, agile and grounded in empathy. Our Experience Engineers are here to rehumanise commerce giving attractions access to people who understand the pressures, who’ve been in those shoes and who can offer advice that truly moves the needle.”

The launch of the Experience Engineer model represents a significant landmark in Merac’s evolution since joining the Crowd Convert group earlier this year.

Formerly known as K3 MStore, Merac has undergone a complete transformation. In addition to the Experience Engineer support line, the company has revealed a new brand, a refreshed website, and a bold new approach to how attraction technology can deliver real, long-term value.

Last month, Crowd Convert shared details of The Visitor Attractions Website Survey 2025. Curated by Rubber Cheese, the survey reveals industry-specific insights into how visitor attractions are performing online, and highlights key opportunities for advancement and innovation across digital platforms. Crowd Convert, Merac and specialist digital agency Navigate are key sponsors of the 2025 edition.
