Smeetz, a provider of smart all-in-one ticketing software for leisure and cultural attractions, has extended its ongoing partnership with The Crocky Trail, an adventure park in Chester, UK. The Crocky Trail and Smeetz have been working together for over 4 years, with The Crocky Trail being one of the first clients to sign with Smeetz following the company’s launch within the UK market.
After four successful years of partnership, The Crocky Trail has now selected Smeetz’s cutting-edge unified commerce platform to enhance its ticketing and food & beverage (F&B) services.
A comprehensive solution
The partnership started with an online ticketing system and has evolved into a comprehensive solution for the adventure park. In 2024, Smeetz and The Crocky Trail developed a solution to address staffing and queuing challenges in the cafe and Ice Cream parlour. By incorporating self-service kiosks and a full Kitchen Display System (KDS), The Crocky Trail reduced staffing expenses, optimised operations, and enhanced the customer experience.
As a result, sales increased by over 30%, and issues related to seasonal staffing shortages were completely resolved. Additionally, Smeetz provided an on-site POS solution, enabling ticket sales at the entrance, which has led to a consistent increase in ticket sales for more than three years.
James Whalley, owner at The Crocky Trail, says: “Smeetz has been a good, supportive partner with a shared passion for constant development and advancement”.
The partnership between Smeetz and The Crocky Trail highlights the value of a partnership approach, aiming to understand the daily operations and challenges that clients face. By establishing clear communication channels and adopting a unified approach, Smeetz works together with its customers to devise effective solutions.
Nick Fenton, UK sales director at Smeetz, says: “Partnering with The Crocky Trail has been incredibly meaningful for us at Smeetz. As one of our first UK clients, it’s been fantastic to grow alongside their team and support their goals of continually enhancing the customer experience.
“Both Smeetz and The Crocky Trail have evolved rapidly in recent years, always with the visitor in mind. We’re proud to be part of their journey and excited for what’s ahead with James and the team.”
Earlier this month, Smeetz entered into a strategic partnership with Edeis, a leading group with expertise in engineering, ports, airports, and culture and tourism, to enhance the ticketing operations at the cultural and heritage sites Edeis manages in France.
