Connect&GO, a leading global provider of integrated technology and RFID solutions for the attractions industry, has announced that its client, Roaring Springs Waterpark received a Leading Edge Award at last week’s World Waterpark Association Symposium & Trade Show. The park was recognised for its innovative use of Connect&GO’s integrated attractions management platform, which incorporates Virtual Wallet technology.
The WWA Leading Edge Awards are a celebration of innovation and quality in the water attractions industry. These honours are given annually to people or parks who have shown extraordinary inventiveness in creating new themes, infrastructure, events, services, or operational ideas that boost the industry. Suppliers who have made groundbreaking ideas, goods, or services available to park patrons, consumers, and the industry at large are also honoured.
“We are honored that our partner, Roaring Springs, has been recognized for their innovative deployment of technology in the waterpark industry that includes our integrated management platform,” says Connect&GO CEO Dominic Gagnon, “We take immense pride in supporting our clients in their quest to redefine their operations with next-generation technology.”
Konnect at Roaring Springs
Located in Meridian, Idaho, Roaring Springs is the largest waterpark in the Northwest US. It has benefited greatly from Connect&GO’s dedication to revolutionising operations through fully connected technology and real-time data. The park has used RFID wearables and the company’s Konnect attractions management platform to provide visitors with a cutting-edge experience.
More than 20 attractions are available at Roaring Springs Waterpark for kids and adults of all ages. The park provides a variety of exciting activities, including tube slides, a kids’ play area, and the daring 360-looping waterslide known as Corkscrew Cavern. Other attractions include an action-packed river ride, a thrilling wave pool, and family-friendly raft adventures.
This year, Roaring Springs opened three new attractions, a new grill and bar, sixteen new cabanas and additional parking as part of the first step of its seven-phase expansion plan. The waterpark is positioned to grow into one of the biggest in the country with this expansion.
“As we embarked on our new expansion, finding the right partners to help deliver an exceptional guest experience was key,” says Patrick Morandi, CEO of Roaring Springs.
“Connect&GO’s commitment to understanding our unique needs has made them an invaluable collaborator. With their integrated system and Virtual Wallet technology, we’ve elevated the guest experience and unlocked more opportunities to simplify our operations and increase ROI seamlessly across our park.”
Streamlining operations and enhancing the guest experience
Using proprietary Virtual Wallet technology and RFID wearables, Connect&GO’s industry-leading attractions management platform, aptly dubbed Konnect, seamlessly integrates eCommerce, point-of-sale, F&B, access control, and cashless payments.
Konnect provides operators with a comprehensive picture of visitor data in real time, in contrast to existing systems that are rigid, unfinished, and disjointed. This allows operators to create frictionless experiences that streamline operations, increase guest engagement, and optimise revenue growth.
Earlier this year, Roaring Springs introduced the Konnect platform with waterproof RFID wristbands, which allowed visitors to access the facility, buy food and drink and retail products, use passholder perks and more. The facility also introduced interactive cabana maps to expedite the guest purchasing procedure, as well as several self-service kiosks allowing customers to conveniently top up cashless funds. Additionally, the park is using Connect&GO’s integrated Marketing & CRM to boost visitor engagement and accelerate business growth through one-to-one communications and marketing automation.
Roaring Springs also installed the EAVS system from ELLIS Aquatic Innovations, a global pioneer in aquatic safety, and worked with ProSlide to create Camp IdaH2O, a brand-new interactive water playground.
“We are continually impressed by the innovative ways our clients harness technology to achieve their goals,” says Myriam Blanchette, director of client success at Connect&GO. “Their use of technology not only showcases their commitment to elevating the attractions industry overall, but also inspires us to push our own boundaries, ensuring we provide them with the most advanced solutions to fuel their success.”
Another Connect&GO client has been honoured with a WWA Leading Edge Award this year too. Super Aqua Club, which has been using the Konnect system and smart wearables since 2019, was recognised for their multi-sensory Dream Tunnel experience, created by Vortex International.
Last month, Connect&GO announced that it has extended its partnership with the Looping Group. The firm’s solution is now being used at five more of the Looping Group’s attractions in France, including two of the country’s biggest parks.
