Great Wolf Resorts Inc., is to buy the Water Park of America and connected Radisson Hotel Bloomington, reports the Star Tribune.
The water park, across the highway from the Mall of America, will be rebranded as a Great Wolf Lodge. Renovation plans for the hotel and water park complex are currently being considered for approval. If passed the refurbishments should be finished by next November.
Commenting on the acquisition Glen Markegard, Bloomington’s planning manager, said, “We’re excited to see Great Wolf come to Bloomington and make a major investment in this renovation. Their interest is a sign of continued strength in the Bloomington hotel market.”
