Leading provider of waterparks products, WhiteWater, has joined forces with UK expert in water and community facility design, Space & Place, to present a special one day seminar on May 4th 2017 at Drayton Manor.
‘Concept to Customer Satisfaction for SmallerĀ Footprint Waterparks’ is intended to better prepare prospective operators/developers before they embark on their waterparks project.
The day will include key points to consider as well as how to forecast whether the project will be financially viable.
To give a taste of the design process, WhiteWaterās Park Designer, Rob Miksza, will be designing an indoor waterpark live throughout the seminar. Attendees will have the chance to watch Rob draw out his plan, ask him questions, and see how the process develops.
Among the wide spectrum of industry experts delivering presentations are:
- Drayton Manor’s CEO, George Bryan, who will be drawing on 25 years of experience in the leisure industry to talk about the psychology of children and the benefits of waterplay inĀ entertaining younger guests.
- Childcare facility expert, Richard Liddle, of Worldwide Kids, who will explore how good design can maximise smaller footprint aquatic venues.
- Space & Place Director, Peter Simpson, whose talk ‘Indoor Can Also Be Outdoor’ will focus on the power of amazing structures to change one’s perspective.
Further presentations will cover the practicalities of operating an aquatic facility including finance, caring for the equipment and water treatment.
Consultant engineer, Michael Groves, will round off the day with a tour of Drayton Manor’s high ropes adventure attraction, VertiGO, to demonstrate how adventure play complements the small site mix.
