LUSSO Dating is gearing up for Virgin Galactic and Blue Origin’s launch into space tourism by organising the first date in space for singles on Earth.
LUSSO Dating, the most exclusive and most expensive dating site in the world, is on a mission to match two singles who want to experience the first date to be held in space.
Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos’ rocket company, has set the date of its first space tourism flight on the New Shepard spacecraft for July 20.
Virgin Galactic also aims to fly private customers to space in early 2022, and recently hired former Walt Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde.

“LUSSO Dating’s challenge is to connect two like-minded singles who are willing to go into space and have the financial power to back it up,” said LUSSO Dating. “It’s probably advisable to split the bill on this one!”
LUSSO Dating is the brainchild of David Minns, an online dating entrepreneur and mechanical engineer who has worked in the aerospace and space industry. Minns has even given lectures to rocket scientists.
Blue Origin is offering one seat on the New Shepard flight to the winning bidder of an online auction. New Shepard is a reusable suborbital rocket system designed to take astronauts past the Kármán line.

Virgin Galactic is an aerospace entity looking to send travellers to space on the first commercial vehicle for spaceflight. VG will offer customers experiences including out-of-seat zero gravity and views of Earth.
“What Virgin Galactic is doing, in democratizing space travel, has reached a moment where it is about to enter history,” said Rohde. “It’s happening right here in New Mexico, and it’s very rare to be a person who gets to be in the place, at the time, that history begins.”
Meanwhile, Orbital Assembly Corporation (OAC) is moving forward on its space tourism project with the world’s first space hotel scheduled to debut in 2027.
