IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, recently issued a call for entries and nominations for the 2021 IAAPA Awards Programs. The awards honor those who have made significant contributions to the organization and recognize excellence in the attractions industry worldwide.

Hall of fame & service awards
IAAPA’s Hall of Fame acknowledges individual’s significant and lasting contributions to the global attractions industry through innovation, education, leadership, or influence. These positive accomplishments within a company or industry must also continue to be of value going forward.
The IAAPA Service Awards recognize the contributions of individuals to the organization in addition to the wider global industry. This category of awards includes Lifetime Service, Outstanding Service, and Meritorious Service Awards.
The deadline to submit a Hall of Fame nomination, or apply for a Service Award is July 16, 2021.
Brass ring awards
Marking successes throughout the international attractions industry, the IAAPA Brass Ring Awards are the most prestigious professional honors awarded by the association. The awards honor excellence in all manner of attractions, from both aquariums and zoos, to amusement and water parks.
Additionally, Brass Ring awards recognize suppliers, including not only food and beverage, but retail, marketing, human resources, and live entertainment. Because of the postponement of the 2020 program, the eligibility period for 2021 Brass Ring Excellence Awards goes through July. The deadline to apply for all IAAPA Brass Ring Awards is now Aug. 15, 2021.
Young professional of the year
The young professional of the year is a strong advocate of IAAPA’s mission to inspire, grow, and protect its industry. The recipient must also demonstrate dedication to the attractions industry through leadership, teamwork, and integrity, while building career experience.
Qualifying nominees are working professionals under 35 years of age employed full-time by an IAAPA member. The cutoff for nomination submissions for the Young Professional of the Year Award is Aug. 15, 2021.
IAAPA recently announced that the IAAPA EMEA Spring Summit dates are now June 29 through July 1, 2021 owing to health and safety regulations set out by Belgian authorities.
