IAAPA announces three global expos will take place in 2021

IAAPA Expo 2019

Registration is open for IAAPA Expo Asia and IAAPA Expo Europe, with IAAPA Expo to follow

IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has announced that its global expos will return this year as the sector continues its recovery. IAAPA Expo Asia, IAAPA Expo Europe and IAAPA Expo will all take place during 2021 following their postponement last year, and registration is now open for the first two events.

Additional health and safety measures will be in place to keep participants safe as they come together to gain insights, connect with their peers and discover the latest products and services in Shanghai, Barcelona and Orlando.

Top industry events return

“This past year has been unlike any other our association, and our industry, has ever encountered,” says IAAPA President and CEO, Hal McEvoy.

“Members have been looking to us to help them push the industry forward so guests around the world can safely return to the fun we are known for. The best way we can do this is by bringing the industry together for our global Expos. No matter what stage of reopening, re-emerging, or recovery members are in, they will be able to find inspiration, solutions, and new connections in Shanghai, Barcelona, and Orlando.”

From 10 – 13 August, IAAPA Expo Asia will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, where it will open with an insights day on 10 August before the trade show opens the following day. Over the four days, there will also be special events and extra educational sessions.

Then from 27 – 30 September, attractions industry professionals will be welcomed to the Fira Barcelona Gran Via, which will also include events, insights, networking sessions and a large trade show floor.

Finally, the attractions industry’s leading event will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida once more, from 15 – 19 November. IAAPA Expo will feature over 75 planned education sessions, alongside exclusive networking events, fundraisers and a massive trade show.

Registration now open

“As we plan all three shows, the health and safety of our exhibitors, attendees and team remain at the forefront of all that we do,” McEvoy says. “The three Expo host venues are incredible partners and they are working with us to ensure we have in place the right safety measures, that meet industry standards and health guidelines.”

The association has made its current health and safety guidelines available on its website and will keep this information updated as the events draw closer.

Registration for IAAPA Expo Asia and IAAPA Expo Europe is now open and more information is available here. Booth sales for all three events are also open, as well as advertising and sponsorship opportunities.

Last month, IAAPA released a new resource that communicates the attractions industry’s importance across Europe, showing how the sector creates jobs, drives revenue and supports the wider tourism industry.
