Ocean Park has unveiled some of Water World’s 27 attractions, which include a surf rider, 9 dynamic water slides and Hong Kong’s first-ever indoor wave pool.
Ocean Park has invested HK$4 billion in the new water park. “Water World is set to bring out the adventurous spirit in all of us,” said Paulo Pong, deputy chairman of Ocean Park.
“With an architectural design that embraces the natural terrain, it gives adventurers the opportunity to take in the beauty that surrounds our Southern District.
“Weāre so looking forward to welcoming everyone to Water World soon.”
Water World features 27 attractions
Water World will be home to five unique zones offering 27 indoor and outdoor attractions, which include Hong Kong’s first-ever surf rider and nine dynamic water slides.
Water World Ocean Park’s zones include Splendid Reef, an expansive open area overlooking the South China Sea. Torrential River is an area for adrenaline junkies, home to thrilling slides.
Thrill Valley will feature extreme slides and freefall experiences, while Adventure Coast is a relaxing zone offering F&B. The Hidden Village includes Hong Kong’s first-ever indoor wave pool, Horizon Cove.
Horizon Cove is sponsored by Manulife. The wave pool features calm, lapping waves as well as powerful double diamond waves, called the ManulifeMOVEĀ Wave.

Hong KongĀ lawmakers recently agreed toĀ Ocean ParkāsĀ HK$6.8bnĀ ($876m)Ā makeover plans, which involve relaunching the theme park as anĀ open-air classroom and adventure-themed resort.
