SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is launching 11 rides and attractions across 10 parks in 2022, the largest number of new offerings to be introduced in a single year in the company’s history.
SeaWorld’s latest attractions include some of the steepest, tallest and fastest roller coasters of their kind in North America and across the globe. In addition, SeaWorld is launching Sesame Place San Diego in March 2022.
“We have an ambitious goal of creating something new and meaningful in every one of our parks,” said Marc Swanson, CEO of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.
“These new rides and attractions are part of that commitment and as we look ahead to 2022, we have what we believe is our most significant and exciting lineup of new rides, attractions, events and upgrades in our history.”
Ice Breaker, Emperor & Pantheon

SeaWorld Orlando’s new coaster, Ice Breaker, features the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida, and will boast four airtime-filled launches, both backwards and forwards.
SeaWorld San Diego’s Emperor coaster will be the tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster in California, and the state’s only floor-less dive coaster.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s Iron Gwazi coaster will be North America’s tallest hybrid coaster, as well as the world’s fastest and steepest hybrid coaster.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s Pantheon roller coaster is the world’s fastest multi-launch coaster, featuring speeds of up to 73 mph, as well as four launches and two inversions.

SeaWorld San Antonio’s latest ride, Tidal Surge, will be the biggest ‘screaming swing’ in the world, with two pendulum-like arms that go higher and higher with each swing.
Adventure Island Tampa is opening two new attractions, Wahoo Remix and Rapids Racer, the world’s first duelling saucer slide. Wahoo Remix, formerly Wahoo Run, is a new experience.
Aquatica Orlando is launching Reef Plunge, a waterslide that will send guests through a new underwater habitat brimming with marine life, from sardines to sharks.
Aquatica San Antonio is set to open the Riptide Race duelling waterslide, while Aquazoid Amped at Water Country USA is an immersive ride experience with special effects.
Finally, Big Bird’s Tour Bus will debut at Sesame Place Philadelphia.
