Raven Sun Creative, the transformational experience firm, has announced that its principal and chief creative officer, Louis Alfieri, will once again be delivering part of a course on theme park management at Milan’s International University of Languages and Media.
The course, Theme Park and Attractions Management, has been created by marketing and attractions professor Massimiliano Freddi and Alfieri will be conducting a virtual masterclass for students for the second year running.
Connecting with the next generation of talent
“Being able to contribute to IULM’s Theme Park and Attractions programme is such a pleasure and privilege,” says Alfieri.
“The course Massimiliano has developed is the first of its kind for any University in Southern Europe and has proven a great success. It’s incredibly rewarding to be able to connect with the next generation of talent that will be driving and shaping the future of our industry.”
The session will take place on 15 February from 4.30 pm to 6 pm CET. During this 90-minute virtual masterclass, Alfieri will share lessons learnt from his three decades in the experiential entertainment industry, during which time he has worked in almost every aspect of the business, from fabrication and design to project management and creative direction.
This is the second year that the innovative course has run. It is designed to provide students with a managerial skill set for work in the Theme Parks and Attractions sector. They will learn the theoretical elements of the industry as well as delving into in-depth case studies. The course also includes project work, allowing them to put into practice what they have learned.
The full course curriculum includes:
- Introduction to the theme park and attractions industry
- HR, career planning and company structures
- Product development and operations
- F&B, retail and finance
- Marketing, communication and sales
- Annual operating plans
- Marketing plans
Last year, Alfieri spoke at several global industry events, including MAPIC, the GSCA conference, the Casino Esports Conference and many more. He is a frequent contributor to blooloop where he writes in-depth explorations of topics such as trends in LBE.
