William Bartlett, the firm’s executive creative director says: “We are delighted to count Kamen Markov as a team member at Framestore, his passion and experience for VFX will be infectious. As a key hire for us at an integral point of growth in our department, I can’t wait to see where his vision will take us and the boundaries he will break with his work.”
International career
Kamen began his career as a motion graphic designer before becoming a VFX artist and editor for TopForm Studio in Bulgaria. He then moved to Mexico City, building a reputation at The FilterFX, collaborating with top advertising directors including Fred Clapp, Jorge Aguilera, and Oliver Castro.
Kamen since moved to London with MPC, working as a VFX supervisor and lead compositor on countless award-winning projects with renowned directors including Daniel Kleinman, Ulf Johansson, and Trakto, the directing collective.
Karkov concludes: “My style of work can be defined by a constant drive for closer and early collaboration with agencies and directors. I am incredibly excited to continue my journey with Framestore which is a powerhouse in VFX, and I cannot wait to learn from the award-winning talent within the studio whilst also bringing my unique experience to the team.”
