Meow Wolf has announced the Texas-based artists for its fourth permanent installation, opening in Grapevine in 2023.
More than 30 artists located in Texas are collaborating with Meow Wolf to create 30 rooms, as well as select sculptures and dioramas, within the 29,000-square-foot space.
“Our goal with curating collaborating artists is to engage in a meaningful dialogue with the artistic voices of Texas, with a focus on North Texas, home to our newest exhibit,” said Han Santana-Sayles, Meow Wolf’s director of artist collaboration.
“To accomplish this, we intentionally invited a diverse array of nearly 40 hyper-talented Texas artists to freely create works about any topic of their desire.”
Collaborating artists living in Texas include Dam Lam, a Dallas artist who is known for her bright, psychedelic and drippy sculptures, as well as sculptor Yana Payusova and Dallas-based artist Sergio Garcia.

“At Meow Wolf, we opt to tell stories about our world and worlds beyond through nuanced, timeless science fiction, and I hope the guests will take the time to explore this cohort of artists along with the deeper meaning behind the work that they have created with us,” Santana-Sayles added.
The immersive art experience in Grapevine will be located within a former big-box retail store at the Grapevine Mills shopping mall in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
Meow Wolf is also opening its fifth permanent exhibition in the Fifth Ward of Houston in 2024. The new locations join Convergence Station in Denver, Santa Fe’s House of Eternal Return and Omega Mart at AREA15 in Las Vegas.
