Vennersys highlights reliability of cloud-based servers

Vennersys AWS cloud system

Running on Amazon Web Services, the company’s online visitor management solution is powerful and reliable

Vennersys, the integrated ticketing, retail and visitor management company, has revealed more information about why its solutions are a reliable choice for attraction operators.

It is important to choose a reliable, secure and high-performing ticketing and management system for visitor attractions, to avoid delays for guests in admission or online sales, and also to make sure that the operator has access to vital data.

Performance and reliability

Vennersys’ cloud-based servers run on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world’s leading cloud services provider. This enables the company to offer a reliable online visitor management solution, thanks to the power, reliability and functionality of the AWS cloud servers. Because of the power and size of AWS, Vennersys is able to place servers across several availability zones, so that its application is online 24 hours a day, all year round.

In addition, the company’s continuous performance monitoring means that it can react to spikes in demand by scaling up or down specific servers as needed.

Security and data resilience

Vennersys also uses native AWS security tools and features to make sure that clients’ data is secure, keeping out hackers and malware.

AWS complies with PCI-DSS, ISO-27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation. Its Web Application Firewalls check every web request hitting the servers against an extensive list of known exploits, malicious IP addresses, and standard attachment methods. They also use a number of other security features, such as geo-blocking and bot filtering.

There is also AWS-GuardDuty – an intelligent threat detection system that continuously monitors the virtual network and servers for malicious activity and unauthorized behaviour. Using the latest AI technology, GuardDuty learns from previous behaviour and patterns, so that it can detect the most up-to-date malware.

Plus, the Systems Manager tool makes sure that Vennersys’ servers are kept up to date with the latest security patches and the company is notified straightaway if anything falls outside of compliance.

Thanks to AWS-Backup tools, Vennersys can offer a Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of 10 minutes and a Recovery Time Objective (RTO) of 120 minutes. AWS provides backup durability of 99.999999999%, as well as offering features like vault locks. For clients, this means that their data is covered under any scenario.

Vennersys recently detailed how its cloud-based services can help clients be more efficient and reduce their carbon footprint.
