Great Wolf Lodge has broken ground on its new resort in Webster, Texas. The company’s second indoor water park resort in the state is opening in 2024.
Located in Harris County, Great Wolf Lodge Gulf Coast Texas is the company’s 22nd resort in North America. The 532-room destination features a 95,000-square-foot water park.
“With millions of families visiting our resort in Grapevine, we know Texas families love the Great Wolf Lodge experience and weāre excited to introduce our second resort to the Lone Star State,” said Murray Hennessy, CEO of Great Wolf Resorts.
The $200 million resort will “better serve families in the Houston area and southeastern portions of the state”, Hennessy said.

“Weāre excited to get this resort underway with todayās groundbreaking and help contribute to the growth and prosperity of this community,” he added.
The water park will be home to body slides, tube slides, raft rides, activity pools and splash areas. Highlights also include a 58,000-square-foot family entertainment centre (FEC) called Great Wolf Adventure Park.
This will feature a variety of attractions, including MagiQuest, Great Wolf Lodge’s exclusive adventure game where players battle goblins and dragons using interactive magic wands.
Family-friendly events and activities include the ‘Yoga Tails’ exercise programme and the ‘Hustle & Howl’ dance party. The property will also offer more than 11,000 square feet of flexible conference space.

Great Wolf Resorts is North Americaās largest family of indoor water park resorts. Its new Great Wolf Lodge in Perryville, Maryland is scheduled to open in summer 2023.
In addition, the company recently broke ground on a new location in Naples, Florida. The $250 million resort is Great Wolfās first resort in Florida.
Earlier this year, Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut announced plans for aĀ newĀ Great Wolf Lodge.
