Vennersys boosts visitor experience at Jack in the Box

News
Jack in the Box soft play

Visitors at the soft play centre in East Yorkshire can now book online and enjoy cashless transactions for a more streamlined experience

Vennersys, the integrated ticketing, retail and visitor management company, has brought its VenposCloud system to a popular indoor play area in Beverley, East Yorkshire, UK. The 12,000-square-foot venue first opened in 2011, and since then, Jack in the Box has received votes ranking it as the third-best play centre in the UK. It currently offers a variety of enjoyable kid-friendly activities.

Jack in the Box wanted to update its system in response to the pandemic so that it could handle the high demand while also offering online ticketing alternatives and capacity control. Despite being reliable, its current system was old and prevented the attraction from offering pre-booking on its website.

With VenposCloud, Vennersys updated the old system and linked the modules for tickets & admission, events & facilities management, and table ordering, providing Jack in the Box with a variety of tools to better manage the facility.

More efficient operations

VenposCloud assisted Jack in the Box in enhancing the user experience for customers reserving tickets, cutting down on entry-line wait times, and preventing overselling—all of which are crucial on busy days. Additionally, it allowed the attraction to control the flow of guests, particularly on weekends and during school breaks. More than 50% of guests now make online reservations, and the operator has also increased upsells with the online meal ordering app, therefore increasing revenue.

Jack in the Box was able to go cashless as a result of adopting these modules, which helped decrease customer wait times at the registers and the time needed to cash up at the end of the day. They may now offer their visitors a contact-free atmosphere in addition to much more.

Ken Lunn, director at Jack in The Box and finance director at AIP (Association of Indoor Play), says:

“Because of Covid, we went completely cashless as a temporary measure – but we will never go back! The extra fees from the card provider more or less balance with the savings on bank charges and cash collection fees. But the real saving is in the time and hassle!

“There are fewer mistakes, queues are shorter, and we no longer have the hassle of collecting and holding large amounts of coins for change. We even saved on insurance for not holding cash. The support given by Vennersys goes beyond just our attraction – the team is incredibly interested in hearing about industry problems and researching ways to improve and solve these problems.”

Last month, Vennersys highlighted the reliability of cloud-based servers, showing how its online visitor management system is powerful and reliable because it runs on Amazon Web Services.
