Barcelona’s festive event
The Els Llums de Sant Pau Christmas event will once again be held in Barcelona, and a brand-new production is sure to delight audiences of all ages. The Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site will transform into L’Univers de la Llum, a fantastical setting filled with lights and colours, from 22 November through to 15 January.
Last year, Els Llums de Sant Pau was held in Barcelona for the first time, drawing more than 210,000 visitors and selling out the majority of the sessions. Major European cities including Berlin, Paris, Rome, and London have all seen a huge increase in popularity for this family-friendly outdoor Christmas celebration.
A trip across space will be provided by L’Univers de la Llum. Visitors can now travel a new path through the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site that explores the planets, galaxies, stars, and cosmic mysteries. In the unique surroundings of this UNESCO historic site, this stunning light show will transform into a wholly immersive experience.
Proactiv Entertainment, DEAG, Christmas Garden Deutschland GmbH, and Handwerker Promotion are the organisations behind this holiday event, which will have more than 21 light installations over a route longer than a kilometre. Projections, sensory tunnels, or a sizable travel between planets and stars are only a few of the numerous constructions. Tickets for the event can be found here.
Malaga’s Christmas spectacle
The Las Luces del Botánico – Christmas Garden event, which was hosted by the city of Malaga last year and was attended by more than 110,000 people, has also made a return. It features a brand-new concept this year called STELA – The Journey of the Star of the Orient, a wholly unique experience that will astound both young and old. Additionally, measures have been implemented in light of the present energy crisis, such as switching to LED lighting, which will reduce electricity use by up to 80%. However, this edition is expected to generate more than 150 indirect jobs in addition to more than 50 direct jobs.
The STELA project is a new luminous journey that will allow visitors to accompany the Three Wise Men and the Star of the East on their magical and unexpected journey.
The first stop on STELA’s tour will be Persia, which has unique angles and architectural features inspired by Arabic patterns. Babylon, one of the most amazing locales the Three Wise Men travelled through, will also be included on the tour. They will be able to see flowers, hanging gardens, and the aurora borealis here. Along the Jordan River, where the trees will spring to life and they will be able to stroll amid the waters, they will also travel.
The Royal Camp, which is situated in the midst of the road, is where the Royal Postman will collect letters for the Three Wise Men and where guests can sample traditional Christmas fare. The path will eventually arrive in Bethlehem, the Star of the East’s last resting place and the location where the birth scene from the Portal can be seen with several other surprises during the tour.
Tickets for the event can be found here.
Earlier this year Proactive Entertainment brought The Lion King production to UAE, entertaining customers in the Middle East as part of the show’s 25th anniversary.
