Keynote session will explore the future of touring exhibitions

The Touring Exhibitions Organisation (Teo), a one-stop resource platform for the international touring exhibitions community, has now made the full lineup available for the upcoming Teo Live event. The annual touring exhibitions online event takes place on 11 May from 3 pm to 5.30 pm CEST. It was created by Teo to support the international touring exhibitions community.

Teo Live is free and open to everyone involved in the hosting, touring, production and promotion of cultural exhibitions worldwide. Attendees will be able to discover exhibitions and experiences, explore the latest trends and connect with their peers from across the globe.

Keynote speakers at Teo Live 2023

The keynote session at this year’s Teo Live, entitled The Future of Touring Exhibitions, will look at the challenges and trends in international touring. Keynote speakers Anaïs Aguerre and Otone Doi from Culture Connect will reveal and talk about the findings of the Cultural Dialogue Survey on the Future of Touring Exhibitions.

This survey was recently carried out by Culture Connect in collaboration with Teo. It was created to learn how the issues that the world has been experiencing since Covid have affected the sector and what new practices and trends are emerging, as well as to get feedback from the worldwide touring exhibitions community. It is part of a series that began in 2021, mapping the appetite for cultural dialogue through touring exhibitions. The series’ goal is to build a collective understanding of significant future trends and to start a conversation about the future of touring exhibitions.

Culture Connect is a consultancy that specialises in unlocking the collaborative potential of the cultural sector and harnessing its ability to build connections between people, institutions and countries. Aguerre is the founder and managing director of Culture Connect and has worked for 15 years as a consultant and senior museum professional. Doi is the research and operations manager at the firm and has worked in the museum field for ten years.

Explore the marketplace

Attendees at Teo Live 2023 can also explore a marketplace of touring exhibitions, featuring over 20 exhibition presentations followed by opportunities to meet with the producers in dedicated spaces. Exhibitors include Imagine Exhibitions, Flying Fish, Universcience, the American Museum of Natural History, Grand Palais Immersif, and more.
