Firm will design a groundbreaking exhibit for the Virginia Holocaust Museum

Mad Systems Inc., the award-winning audiovisual and interactive system designer and integrator, has announced the continuation of its partnership with the University of Southern California (USC) Shoah Foundation.

USC Shoah Foundation works to provide survivors and witnesses of the genocide of the Jews with a platform to tell and preserve their stories. These narratives provide a vital resource for research, education, and outreach.

Mad Systems Inc. will work on a new project to design a groundbreaking exhibit for the Virginia Holocaust Museum in Richmond, United States.

Pepper’s Ghost-style interactive

A key feature of the exhibit will be a theatre with a Pepper’s Ghost-style interactive, which will enable visitors to talk with Holocaust survivors. This technology will generate a life-like image of Holocaust survivors by combining light, reflection, and projection. Visitors will be able to interact with these digital avatars by asking questions and learning directly from them about the survivor’s experiences.

The Virginia Holocaust Museum’s collaboration with the USC Shoah Foundation and Mad Systems is taking a significant step in bringing key narratives to life. It demonstrates the museum’s dedication to providing learning opportunities for future generations, ensuring that lessons from the past stay relevant and meaningful.

Ongoing partnership

Mad Systems has collaborated with the Shoah Foundation before, installing exhibitions in their Los Angeles centre at the University of Southern California.

This project is part of a larger scheme, with similar initiatives in progress for Holocaust commemoration centres around North America. Upcoming locations include Boca Raton, Florida, El Paso, Texas, and Montreal, Canada. Mad Systems’ continuous work with the Shoah Foundation demonstrates their mutual dedication to education and historical preservation through the use of cutting-edge technology.

Mad Systems Inc. recently launched Alice, an AI technology designed to transform immersive experiences. Alice’s patent-pending technology builds upon the team’s successful AV++ solutions to use artificial intelligence (AI) to create personalised, diverse and varied content. This technology has wide-ranging applications – for exhibitions, shows, presentations and everyday life.

The firm is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and serves an international client base which includes museums, visitor centres, travelling exhibitions, amusement parks, and halls of fame.
