Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has announced the opening of its award-winning Hyper Ride at Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls. Carnival Chaos is a 6000-square-foot, action-packed dark ride that is suitable for all age groups, featuring seven fully interactive scenes as well as programable digital theming.
This new attraction is expected to become the new focal point of Clifton Hill’s popular tourist promenade. The façade of the building has been fully themed to complement the ride’s “Carnival” backdrop. Passers-by are able to see and hear the guests laughing and screaming from thrills and fun because their vehicles come outside and the loading area is also visible from the exterior.
Delivering a park-level experience in a small footprint
“Clifton Hill has now opened the Carnival Chaos: Hyper Ride, offering a first-of-its-kind dark ride experience in Niagara Falls, Canada,” says Harry Oakes, president of Clifton Hill: Fun by the Falls.
Ernest Yale, president and CEO of Triotech, adds: “Hyper Ride is a unique award-winning attraction that changes the game for Location Based Entertainment venues. This attraction delivers a destination park level experience but for a fraction of the investment and space requirements. We have several such projects in the planning stage.”
Triotech’s Hyper Ride combines a global first in motion technology with a high-speed moving platform, resulting in significant acceleration and a coaster-like experience for visitors. In addition, the ride is interactive, so passengers compete to earn the highest score with their targeting device. This also generates a distinct and friendly-competitive dynamic, which encourages repeat rides.
Carnival Chaos Hyper Ride was constructed inside an existing arcade structure with a relatively low ceiling. This ride design requires a significantly smaller footprint than typical dark rides, allowing Clifton Hill to maximise its square footage.
An award-winning attraction
In 2021, Hyper Ride received the IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best New Product in the “Major Ride/Attraction” category. Triotech is sticking with the content strategy that has been so effective with its theatre products.
Alongside Hyper Ride, visitors to Clifton Hill can also enjoy other Triotech attractions, such as Zombie Attack, an XD Dark Ride Interactive Theater, and Cosmic Coaster, an XD Theatre. In addition, the Great Canadian Midway arcade is home to the firm’s Typhoon and Storm games.
Earlier this year, Triotech announced that it has been chosen by Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), to develop a number of Transformers-themed attractions for its new entertainment destinations, including the flagship venue in the Al Hamra district of Riyadh city.
