Mall of America has teamed up with LBE haunt experts at American Monsters

Mall of America and haunted attractions company American Monsters have revealed more about Onionhead’s Revenge, a new world-class Halloween experience.

Ticket sales for Onionhead’s Revenge start on 1 August. The story-driven eerie experience opens on 15 September and runs through 31 October.

Onionhead’s Revenge is “based on the folklore of the dark bayous of Louisiana and the creature they call Onionhead who has returned from the dead and is out for vengeance”, said Mall of America.

The new Halloween haunt will include scare actors, elaborate sets, media-based scare moments, theatrical lighting, special effects and an original soundtrack.

“Guests can expect an unparalleled fear-filled night of adventure with three different ticket options to Minnesota’s newest and most terrifying experience,” said Chris Grap, Mall of America’s vice president of experiential.

“Mall of America will be the Halloween destination this fall and we can’t wait for guests to experience Onionhead’s Revenge,” he added.

As well as the haunt experience, Mall of America’s upcoming event will include themed bars and exclusive merchandise.

General admission tickets provide entry to Onionhead’s “chilling corridors replete with revenge emboldened creatures lurking in the shadows”. VIP tickets offer access to “the full Onionhead story”, as well as secret rooms and unique characters.

“Fear is almost here”

“We encourage visitors to book early, as this attraction is expected to sell out quickly. Get ready – because fear is almost here,” said Charlotte Huggins, CEO of American Monsters.

Opened in 1992 and located in Bloomington, Minnesota , Mall of America is the largest shopping and entertainment complex in North America.

It is home to attractions including the Nickelodeon Universe theme park, a Sea Life aquarium, the FlyOver America ride, and the Crayola Experience.

American Monsters is a team of haunted attractions experts, trained by the likes of Disney, Universal and other global theme parks.
