Highlite International, a leading supplier of show, audio and light equipment, is celebrating the latest attraction to be added to the popular Billybird Park Dragon Kingdom in Reuver, the Netherlands. Designed by Amusementprof, it is the biggest play castle in the country and features a lighting installation by Dynamic, Beeld, Licht & Geluid, using fixtures from Highlite’s Showtec brand.
The first Billybird Park started as Recreatieplas Hemelrijk in 1986 and Billybird Park Dragon Kingdom is the second of three Billybird parks that exist today.
The new play castle stands at the top of a hill and reaches a height of fifteen metres. Visitors can explore several different rooms and obstacles. They can also enjoy many slides, including one which is 12 metres long. Plus, a 10-metre-long dragon watches over the structure from its highest tower.
Spectacular lighting display
At night, the castle is lit up with a spectacular lighting display, created by Dynamic, Beeld, Licht & Geluid, an audiovisual company based in Venlo in the Netherlands. In order to bring different colour palates to the installation and deliver different atmospheres, the company opted to use lighting products from Showtec, including Helix S5000 Q4 washers, Spectral M800 Q4 spots and Cameleon Flood 15 Q4 floodlights.
With their powerful RGBW LEDs, these fixtures provide rich, vibrant colours, and the lights are IP65-rated, so they may be used in any weather.
