Dapper Labs Ltd., a leading provider of mobile engagement solutions, has revealed a new, free scheme which will enable culture and heritage attractions to create their own feature-rich apps using Chaperone, a comprehensive and advanced user engagement platform for brand experiences.
The new Chaperone Academy scheme is available to all free-entry culture and heritage attractions in the UK and Ireland. It aims to support these organisations in their ongoing post-Covid recovery and is a key component in Dapper Labs Ltd.’s strategy to provide support to the sector.
Supporting the culture and heritage sector
By leveraging Dapper Labs Ltd.’s knowledge of using digitally assisted technologies, organisations can grow their visitor numbers and income. The firm felt that an obvious way to support the sector was to offer free training and app building using the award-winning Chaperone platform.
The Chaperone Academy provides a free license for the platform, with full access to the feature-rich app-building tool. Participating free-to-enter attractions will also be able to access free support and training, which will help them to maximise the potential of the scheme.
The Chaperone Academy will be delivered using frequent webinars, led by industry specialists. Participants will be given guidance on the best use of the platform, which they can apply in their own app to drive growth in visitor numbers and income.
Martin Howe, CEO of Dapper Labs Ltd., says: “With the rise of digital technology, museums and heritage sites are needing to embrace the power of mobile engagement, more than ever before. However, the investment, skills and resources required, often make this difficult for free-to-enter venues.
“We at Dapper Labs Ltd. possess the skills and resources to help, therefore we are thrilled to offer a free feature-rich app and the accompanying training for professionals in the industry, and pledge our ongoing support in helping the recovery of the Museum and Heritage sector.”
Spaces on the scheme are limited and are open to free-entry culture and heritage attractions in the UK and Ireland. Organisations can apply for a place on the Chaperone website.
Dapper Labs Ltd. was awarded an innovation grant to develop the self-service Experience Builder feature of Chaperone earlier this summer. The award was part of Innovate UK’s Creative Catalyst Programme, which offers comprehensive innovation support for high growth-potential businesses in the UK’s creative sub-sector.
