Scenario Mint Partnership

Scenario, the award-winning design and fabrication firm, has announced that Scenario Asia has entered a strategic partnership agreement with Mint, enabling the firms to pursue Saudi-based megaprojects.

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan includes an ambition to create some of the most innovative and spectacular IP entertainment venues from around the world.

The partnership will support the growth of both businesses as they expand their global activities. Their collaborative activities will begin in Q4 of 2023 and will leverage the strengths and expertise of both organisations.

Foundation of the partnership

Scenario is a leading provider of turnkey solutions for attractions, themed lands, and theme parks. With over 25 years of experience in delivering some of the most prestigious and technically challenging themed projects worldwide, Scenario offers a comprehensive range of services that cover design development, production, construction, acceptance, and commissioning.

Scenario’s team consists of highly skilled theme park production professionals and international construction managers who work together to create immersive and memorable themed environments. The company operates globally in Asia and the USA.

Tom Stapleton, vice president of Scenario Asia, says: “Scenario is thrilled to embark on this journey with Mint, a company that shares our vision and values. Our collaboration will bring some of the best talent in the industry to Saudi Arabia, a market with great potential and opportunities. We look forward to working alongside Mint on future projects in the region.”

Mint is a regional leader in architectural theming and 3D fabrication based in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Mint transforms ideas into reality by designing spaces, building installations, and creating experiences that captivate audiences. It offers turnkey solutions for theming that cover concept, design, fabrication, and full fitout solutions.

The company has over 19 years of experience in leading innovation and presence in the UAE and has recently expanded its production capabilities into Saudi Arabia with a new 20,000 sqm fabrication facility due to open in 2024.

Wassim Chaya, founder and CEO of Mint, adds: “We are absolutely thrilled to share the news that, after a series of highly productive discussions, we have successfully signed a strategic partnership agreement with Scenario. This momentous accomplishment marks a significant milestone, not only for our firm but also for the Saudi and regional markets.

“We eagerly unveil our exciting collaboration, which is set to play a vital role in shaping the future of mega theming and entertainment projects in the region. This agreement signifies the start of a new era filled with innovation, growth, and boundless opportunities.

“Stay tuned, as there are many more exciting updates and ventures on the horizon.”

Scenario has been undergoing rapid expansion. Earlier this year, it appointed Youjia Wang as business development manager for Asia Pacific. She now works in Scenario’s Regional HQ office in Hong Kong. Her past experience included marketing and business development in the themed entertainment industry as well as mixed-use and workplaces.
