Rapids Waterpark in West Palm Beach, Florida has launched Mega Mayhem, the state’s only duelling water coaster.
Mega Mayhem has soft opened at Rapids Waterpark ahead of the public launch on 4 April. The nearly 54-foot-tall ride features two flumes spanning more than 1,600 feet in length.
Riders race each other in two lanes, enjoying twists, high-banked turns, and blast zones. In addition, guests speed around four giant bowls at high speeds. Riders can see their friends and family racing alongside them throughout the ride experience.
“This ride will you blow you away. The blast zones are incredible, and like no other water ride. This isnāt just a slide, itās a water coaster, launching you through the twisting, turning race course,” said Bryan Megrath, Rapids Waterpark’s general manager.
“With more than 40 rides and attractions, the addition of Mega Mayhem transforms Rapids Waterpark into the thrill capital of South Florida.”
Mega Mayhem is designed by ProSlide Technology Inc.,Ā an industry leader in water ride manufacturing and design. It is the largest attraction to ever be constructed at Rapids Waterpark.
South Florida’s largest water park
Rapids Waterpark is South Florida’s largest water park, offering more than 40 slides and attractions across over 35 acres. Highlights include a lazy river and a 25,000-square-foot wave pool, as well as body slides, mat racer slides, tube slides and raft rides.
The park is open daily for the 2024 season through 2 September. After that, a weekend-only schedule will operate until 1 December.
Elsewhere, Margaritaville at Lanier Islandsā Fins Up water park is on track to debutĀ Georgiaās first waterslide coasterĀ in May.
