Hollywood actor parachutes into Yas Marina Circuit in a new clip

Yas Island, Abu Dhabi‘s leisure and entertainment destination, has announced Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds as its new chief island officer.

Reynolds replaces Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa in the role, who took over from comedian and actor Kevin Hart last year.

In a new trailer to promote the island, Reynolds is seen parachuting into Yas Marina Circuit, missing his landing spot at the W Abu Dhabi hotel.

“I’ve been an actor, a producer, a Welsh football club owner, and I could go on,” Reynolds says in the clip. “So I will.” Except he can’t, because his introduction is drowned out by speeding cars.

Liam Findlay, CEO of Miral Destinations, said, “Reynolds brings his own unique blend of charisma, energy, and enthusiasm to the role, promising to elevate the Yas Island experience to even greater heights.

“We’re thrilled to embark on this exhilarating journey with him, inviting fans worldwide to be part of the legacy.”

Yas Island is located a 10-minute drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport. The region’s top entertainment and leisure destination is home to unique attractions and theme parks.

These include SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World Abu DhabiYas Waterworld and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.

New star of Yas Island tourism campaign

The island is also home to Yas Bay Waterfront, Clymb Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina Circuit for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, 10 hotels with more than 3,500 rooms, a golf course, a beach and a shopping mall.

“We are gradually increasing the number of attraction facilities on the island and raising its profile worldwide,” Miral CEO Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi told blooloop.

“Year after year, we have been striving to push the envelope and to deliver something unique and new.

“Our vision is to have more options for our customers to come and visit.”
