Fantasy Springs is inspired by Peter Pan, Frozen and Tangled

Fantasy Springs, Tokyo DisneySea‘s new themed port, has opened its Tangled, Peter Pan and Frozen experiences to visitors.

Inspired by magical springs leading to a Disney fantasy world, Fantasy Springs is home to three areas – Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan’s Never Land. It also includes the Fantasy Springs Hotel.

Attending the Fantasy Springs opening ceremony were representatives from Oriental Land Company (OLC), as well as Disney CEO Bob Iger and Disney parks chairman Josh D’Amaro.

In a press release, OLC said the first visitors at Fantasy Springs could be seen “enjoying the magical springs featuring Disney character motifs in the rockwork, and immersed in the atmosphere that brings the world of Disney films to life”.

Disney’s new $2.2 billion expansion

“Others were taking pictures, experiencing attractions, and tasting the new menu items on offer,” OLC added.

Fantasy Springs has opened after around five years of construction work, which started in May 2019. The $2.2 billion land is Tokyo DisneySea’s largest development to date.

Attractions in the new port are: Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, and Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies.

Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey is a family-friendly boat ride featuring songs from the film, such as ‘Do You Want to Build a Snowman?’, ‘For the First Time in Forever’, ‘Love Is an Open Door’, and ‘Let It Go’.

Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival is a gondola ride, Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure is a 3D attraction, and Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies is a new dark ride.

As for F&B locations, these include the Royal Banquet of Arendelle, the Snuggly Duckling, Lookout Cookout, and Oaken’s OK Foods.

Finally, merchandise can be found inside the Fantasy Springs Hotel at Fantasy Springs Gifts, or at the Springs Treasures kiosk located outside the new port.
