Meet Dracula’s daughter and Frankenstein’s bride

This year’s Halloween Horror Nights will feature an all-female cast portraying Universal’s classic monsters, from the Bride of Frankenstein to Dracula’s Daughter.

Titled ‘Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines’, the original haunted house also includes a she-wolf from 1946 film She-Wolf of London, and the mummified Egyptian princess Anck-Su-Namun from 1932 film The Mummy.

Guests will enjoy a new storyline and meet a new character called Saskia Van Helsing, described as a fearless huntress.

“The terrifying adventure will take guests on a journey between the hunted and the hunters in a life and death battle with only one bloodline left to survive,” Universal said in a press release.

New storyline and character

Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines is available at both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood this spooky season.

At the latter, the experience will be located within the legendary Sound Stage 12 on the studio back lot, the original filming location for Universal horror movies including Dracula (1931) and Frankenstein (1931).

Musician Slash will compose an original score for the new haunted house at Universal Studios Hollywood. The park has now done five Universal monsters houses, and Slash has provided the music for all of them.

For the haunted house at Universal Orlando, Emmy-nominated composer Sara Barone will create an original score. She recently served as composer for the BBC’s Planet Earth III, along with Hans Zimmer and Jacob Shea.

Paramount Pictures’ A Quiet Place is also featuring at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, as is a new Insidious haunted house.

In more news, Universal is creating a year-round horror attraction inspired by Halloween Horror Nights for Area15 in Las Vegas. The new location is Universal’s first permanent horror experience outside of its parks.

Halloween Horror Nights begins on 30 August at Universal Orlando, and on 5 September at Universal Studios Hollywood.
