Audiences will enjoy a selection of footage from 43 countries

The BBC’s Planet Earth III nature documentary TV series is coming to London and Manchester later this year as a live concert.

There will be three special performances of ‘Planet Earth III Live in Concert’ at the OVO Arena Wembley in London and Manchester’s AO Arena in October 2024.

In London, there will be a matinee and evening performance on 5 October. The Manchester show will take place on 6 October.

During the performance, guests will see incredible footage from the latest TV series in 4K Ultra HD on an expansive LED screen.

Audiences will enjoy a selection of footage from 43 countries across six continents, from vast deserts to lush forests, along coastlines and into the depths of the ocean.

Alongside this, an orchestral score from Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea and Sara Barone for Bleeding Fingers Music will be played by the City of Prague Philharmonic.

“Creating scores for any of the BBC’s natural history series is always an honour for me as there are no more epic stories than those occurring naturally every day in our own planet’s ecosystem,” said Zimmer.

The new Planet Earth III live concert follows the critically acclaimed Blue Planet II and Planet Earth II Live in Concert arena tours.

Planet Earth III is a 2023 nature documentary series co-produced by BBC Studios with BBC America, ZDF, and France Télèvisions for BBC in partnership with the Open University. It came after Planet Earth (2006) and Planet Earth II (2016).

Mike Gunton, executive producer of the Planet Earth III television series, said: “Planet Earth III is about the resilience and adaptability of nature, and the remarkable animals that are changing their lives to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world dominated more than ever by a powerful force: us. It’s full of surprise and wonder but seen from a new perspective.”
