Dallas-Fort Worth theme park opens spring 2025

Merlin Entertainments has announced an opening date for its third Peppa Pig Theme Park, which is debuting next year in North Richland Hills, Texas.

The family-friendly attraction will open on 1 March 2025. Designed to be the ultimate theme park experience for children, the new space features five rides, as well as interactive attractions, themed play areas, shows and F&B outlets, all inspired by locations from the preschool brand.

Rides include Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster, Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride, Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride, Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure, and Mr. Bull’s High Striker.

The new park also includes the Muddy Puddles Splash Pad, a fun fair, and play areas themed to George’s fort, Grandpa Pig’s greenhouse, Peppa’s treehouse, and Rebecca Rabbit’s playground.

“The park aims to be a top destination for young children and their families, appealing to visitors from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond, making it an ideal spot for a memorable family outing and first theme park experiences,” Merlin said in a press release.

The Peppa Pig Theme Park will join other nearby Merlin attractions, including Peppa Pig World of Play, Legoland Discovery Center, and Sea Life Aquarium at Grapevine Mills Mall.

Family-friendly IP experiences

The world’s first Peppa Pig Theme Park opened in Florida in 2022. This was followed by Europe’s first Peppa Pig Theme Park, which opened earlier this year in GĂĽnzburg, Germany.

Scott O’Neil, CEO of Merlin, said: “Our fun with Peppa Pig and the iconic brand continues to grow from strength to strength as we develop and open new Peppa Pig formats, from city-centre attractions like Peppa Pig World of Play, to theme parks like the Peppa Pig park in Germany, Florida and soon to be opened Dallas, Texas location.”

Tickets to the new Dallas-Fort Worth theme park go on presale on 12 November, and then to the general public on 19 November.
