Operator Momentum Leisure has expanded its Paramount partnership

Momentum Leisure is expanding its partnership with Paramount and will add new Nickelodeon lands to its Majaland parks in Poland.

The company announced an expansion of its Paramount experiences earlier this month, revealing plans to introduce Nickelodeon zones at its three Majaland theme parks in Poland.

Roland Gerets, chief marketing officer of Momentum Leisure, said: “We are proud of the close collaboration with our partner Paramount.

“With the prominent presence of the very popular Nickelodeon-characters – with exclusive rights for Poland and Romania – we’re providing our guests with an even more beautiful range of entertainment.”

Majaland Gdańsk, Momentum Leisure’s third theme park in Poland, opened last summer. It joined existing parks Majaland Kownaty and Majaland Warsaw in the central European country.

In 2027, Momentum Leisure expects to open a new theme park in Gliwice, Poland.

Majaland Gdańsk will be the first Momentum Leisure park to get a Nickelodeon zone, with the outdoor area already open, followed by Majaland Kownaty and Majaland Warsaw.

Paramount expanding LBE experiences

The Majaland parks already feature some Nickelodeon experiences. Majaland Gdańsk, for example, houses rides and attractions inspired by characters like SpongeBob SquarePants and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Paramount appears to be growing its location-based entertainment (LBE) portfolio, as the company has also expanded its partnership with leisure park operator Parques Reunidos.

Additionally, Paramount and Merlin Entertainments are creating the UK’s first and only Paw Patrol land for Chessington World of Adventures.

Founded in 2008, Momentum Leisure aims to be a major player in the leisure industry in central and eastern Europe.

To date, the company has invested approximately €150 million in entertainment projects. By 2030, Momentum Leisure aims to have 10 operational parks in the region.

In September, the developer announced a partnership with Leisure Expert Group to design new theme parks in Romania and Poland.
