Simworx, the dynamic media attractions specialist, and Mindscape Creative, an acclaimed expert in combining technology with engaging narratives, have launched Truth Traveler, a brand-new bespoke virtual reality (VR) experience, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

A further location is set to open soon in Branson, Missouri.

The project is a partnership with Answers in Genesis, a non-profit organisation that operates the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter in Kentucky.

Mindscape Creative developed the original version of the attraction for Ark Encounter, which is renowned for its 510-foot-long Noah’s Ark model.

Immersive journey through biblical history

Truth Traveler employs the latest VR innovations, drawing on Simworx’s sector-leading motion technology to enhance the VR visuals with exciting movement.

The attraction takes visitors on a journey through biblical history with a bespoke animated show. This is accompanied by motion benches and special effects for a fully immersive experience. This starts with a captivating pre-show that sets the scene and introduces the characters.

Guests then enter a tailor-made ‘elevator’ simulator, which takes them down to the flight deck and on to the VR bays for a thrilling and inspiring adventure. Each moment has been carefully crafted for optimum impact.

The Mill, an internationally acclaimed production company known for top-tier content that captivates audiences, delivered the media for the VR experience. Detailed physical theming from Kingdom Productions, which is known for its scenic artistry, enhances the overall immersion in the retro-futuristic environment.

Visitors to Truth Traveler can also take a voyage into the cosmos in Rea’s Planetarium, before browsing exclusive products in the gift shop and enjoying themed snacks from Timeless Treats.

Dynamic locations

The decision to expand to Pigeon Forge and Branson follows the success of the original attraction at Ark Encounter, and responds to the thriving tourism and entertainment sectors in these areas.

Truth Traveler enjoys a prime location on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, across from several well-known landmarks and near a major theme park. Welcoming more than 10 million tourists each year, the town is among the area’s most popular destinations.

In Branson, the attraction is located within the former Andy Williams Moon River Theatre, neighbouring the city’s dynamic entertainment area. In this Time Traveler experience, visitors will embark on an adventure through key moments and then continue into a 1,100-seat theatre showing a custom presentation that enhances and extends the VR storyline.

At night, the venue will transform into a space for live performances and concerts.

Simworx has thoroughly enjoyed contributing to this project in partnership with Mindscape Creative, and creating custom solutions that demonstrate its proven technology in a fun and unique format. Truth Traveler launched at the Pigeon Forge location in June 2025, and the Branson location is set to follow shortly.

Terry Monkton, CEO of Simworx, says: “We first met with Mindscape late 2022 at the IAAPA show in Orlando and they subsequently made a couple of visits to Simworx to see our facilities, and in turn, I visited them and their proposed site in the US.

“We loved their attraction concepts, their approach to immersive storytelling and how Simworx’s technology could be integrated to help bring their stories to life.

“Having signed agreements for the Pigeon Forge site in October 2023, we were thrilled to have been selected as their partner again for the new Branson project in April 2024.

“Mindscape are an absolute delight and privilege to work with, and we look forward to establishing a long-lasting partnership.”

Earlier this month, Simworx exhibited at IAAPA Expo Asia 2025 in Shanghai, China.

The company, which has a well-established presence in the Asian market, showcased projects such as AGV Dark Ride, a highly customisable trackless ride system, and the stadium attraction concept developed in partnership with C360 International. This features a moving pod system that provides an entirely new way for fans to engage with live sports and events.
