Hero Zone VR announces asset purchase of SPREE Interactive free-roam system

News
Hero Zone Spree

Hero Zone, a leading creator of immersive VR experiences, has completed an asset purchase of the SPREE Interactive free-roam system following SPREE Interactive’s recent administration.

The purchase safeguards the only free-roam VR platform designed for children under 10. Most Spree locations are found at trampoline parks, with a major deployment at Urban Air Adventure Parks.

By acquiring SPREE, Hero Zone ensures that these venues and their guests continue to have access to trusted immersive entertainment. It also expands the game library and introduces new content for customers. Moreover, the acquisition protects millions of dollars of investment already made by operators in SPREE setups, preserving their ongoing value.

Expanding the network & audience

The SPREE acquisition will expand Hero Zone’s network to over 500 venues worldwide, establishing it as the largest free-roam VR platform. By including SPREE’s collection of mini games, tailored for younger children and families, arcades and FECs will be able to offer more options for birthday parties, first-time VR users, and school group outings.

With the upcoming global release of Terminator: Uprising at Hero Zone, the platform now serves a broad range of audiences.

“This acquisition allows us to serve every demographic in a way no other LBVR provider can,” says Aziza Jarnija, co-founder and sales director for Hero Zone VR. “From young children to seasoned gamers, we now offer something for everyone, further cementing our position as the industry leader.”

For operators, this addition creates new opportunities to attract family audiences and foster repeat visits without requiring multiple vendors. Hero Zone’s platform now provides accessible, family-friendly VR experiences alongside premium blockbuster IP, consolidating all-ages VR entertainment in one location.

Hero Zone also recently revealed details of its partnership with Future Kid, a leading chain of FECs in Kuwait.
