Universal Rocks, an expert in planning, building, and developing themed areas that reproduce the beauty of nature, is set to exhibit once more at IAAPA Expo Europe, and will be located at booth #1-1513 in Hall 1 at this year’s event.
IAAPA Expo Europe 2025 will take place in Barcelona from 22 to 26 September, with the show floor open from 23 to 25 September. The Universal Rocks team will be showcasing recent projects and connecting with partners across the attractions sector.
Helder Lopes, CEO of Universal Rocks, says: “We are thrilled to be returning to IAAPA Expo Europe in Barcelona. This event is the ideal stage to showcase our expertise, celebrate the successes of our award-winning clients, and connect with future partners.
“Our work is about creating experiences that captivate visitors and bring visionary designs to life — and IAAPA is where we can share that mission with the industry.”

Award-winning projects
The company’s attendance at IAAPA Expo Europe 2025 coincides with the recent recognition of some of its long-term clients at Amusement Today’s Golden Ticket Awards.
Europa-Park was awarded ‘World’s Best Amusement Park’ for the 10th consecutive year, while Phantasialand won the ‘Best Water Ride’ category with Chiapas.
Universal Rocks contributed to both of these preeminent attractions.
Dirk Engelhardt, area sales manager and Europa-Park theming partner, Mack Rides / Engelhardt GmbH, says: “I think the most important thing for me is that Universal Rocks works at a very high level of sculpting quality. All the sculptors I know from Universal Rocks have great skills. They really understand how to carve rock, how to work with stone, and how to handle façades.
“Because of the variety of expertise that the owners of Universal Rocks know among their team, they can assign the right people to the right tasks. One is skilled in wood carving, another excels in façades, another in rock work. I think this ability to pick and assign the right people on site is a major advantage and a key factor in ensuring high quality.”
“Universal Rocks is always very reliable,” says Christof Zimmermann, project manager, Europa-Park. “They are also available at very short notice, and what is particularly remarkable is that Universal Rocks always meets the schedules. They can bring in many people to compensate if time gets tight.
“And of course, in the end, the outstanding quality is always there.”
