Event Network, a leading cultural attraction retailer, has officially announced the re-opening of three on-site retail stores and concessions at Tennessee Aquarium.

The partnership was announced in November 2019. It enables the aquarium to leverage Event Network’s turnkey retail operations and extensive buying power. The aquarium will benefit from expense savings, boosted revenues, and operational efficiencies, allowing them to reinvest in aquarium infrastructure, freshwater research and restoration initiatives and science education programs.

Known for its commitment to environmental responsibility, Event Network has already incorporated several eco-friendly updates throughout the stores.  Guests can expect to find a wide assortment of carefully selected merchandise that is produced, packaged, and shipped responsibly.

Additionally, store signage produced using eco-friendly materials helps educate shoppers about the importance of making sustainable choices while fixtures and visual elements manufactured using sustainable materials further extend the message.

“We are proud to support Tennessee Aquarium’s conservation efforts by educating and encouraging guests to make earth-friendly choices by offering sustainable products and messaging throughout the store environment,” says Jerry Gilbert, Event Network’s Chief Marketing Officer and Principal. “We want guests to feel proud about their purchase and know that they are supporting a more sustainable future for all of us.”

Remodeled Tennessee Aquarium stores coming August 2020

Plans for a remodel of all three retail spaces that demonstrate green design best practices and deliver a plastic-free environment are already underway.

Post-remodel, the Tennessee Aquarium stores will feature LED lighting, low VOC paints and stains, wall systems and fixtures created from wood waste that was generated from other manufacturing processes, and all plastic bins and sign holders replaced with recycled and reusable materials. Additional updates will be introduced throughout the year.

Earlier this year, Event Network also announced a new partnership with Naples Botanical Garden, a popular visitor attraction in Florida, US. The company is now operating The Jane and Chuck Berger Shop in the Garden.
