Bluey’s World immersive experience to open in Brisbane, Australia

Hit TV show Bluey is created, written, animated, and post-produced in Brisbane

Brisbane, Australia is soon to be home to a new Bluey immersive experience. Bluey’s World is set to open in August 2024.

The family-friendly attraction will be housed in a 4,000-square-metre, purpose-built venue called Northshore Pavilion, part of Brisbane’s new Northshore arts and entertainment precinct.

Bluey’s World will celebrate the hit TV show Bluey, which is created, written, animated, and post-produced in Brisbane.

Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said: “Brisbane is at Bluey’s core and now the show is a global sensation, we want to invite fans from around the world to come and experience Bluey’s home.”

“Bluey’s World is where Australian and overseas families can connect with their favourite Heeler household like never before and explore Queensland’s world-class visitor experiences,” said Stirling Hinchliffe, Queensland’s tourism minister.

Visitors will find themselves in a recreation of Bluey’s home with life-size sets, interactive play experiences and a Bluey-inspired soundscape. The venue also includes a cafe, gift shop and playground.

Bluey’s World is produced by BBC Studios and HVK Productions. Fiona Lang, general manager of BBC Studios in Australia and New Zealand, said the Bluey experience is “a celebration of the heartwarming moments that make Bluey so authentically Australian”.

“From life-size sets and interactive play, with a touch of theatre – get ready to step inside Bluey’s home, and immerse yourself in the joy of this beloved TV show,” said Andrew Kay, producer at HVK Productions.

Bluey’s World to recreate Bluey’s home

Created by Joe BrummBluey is produced by Ludo Studio. The show is now broadcasting and streaming in more than 60 countries.

Bluey’s World will “give fans a unique opportunity to explore Bluey’s house for real life in her hometown of Brisbane,” said Ludo Studio.

Adrian Schrinner, Brisbane’s lord mayor, said the new attraction is a “significant tourism offering that will draw people to our city from around the globe while giving residents more to see and do here in Brisbane”.

“We’re proud to support this world-first event, which will create local jobs and inject millions into our economy, with our restaurants, hotels and tourism experiences benefiting from the influx of excited Bluey fans,” he added.
