Ozi Zone highlights the importance of rainforest conservation

The Eden Project in Cornwall has opened an immersive experience inspired by Ozi: Voice of the Forest, a new animated film produced by Leonardo DiCaprio.

At the Eden Project this summer, guests can visit the Ozi Zone as part of its Wild Life programme through 8 September.

The upcoming film, in UK cinemas from 16 August, follows an orphaned orangutan called Ozi who uses her influencer skills to save her home from deforestation.

Movie magic at Eden Project

Produced by DiCaprio and Mike Medavoy (Black Swan), Ozi: Voice of the Forest stars Laura Dern, Amandla Stenberg, the late Donald Sutherland, Hugh Bonneville and RuPaul.

The Eden Project‘s new Ozi Zone highlights the importance of rainforest conservation, featuring scenes based on Ozi’s rainforest home. Activities include family games and origami.

Eden Live producer Kate Francis said: “We’re really excited to welcome Ozi the orangutan to the home of one of the world’s largest undercover rainforests to be part of our summer celebrating Wild Life.

“We’re taking visitors on a deep dive into the natural world and our place within it, with adventure trails, shadow puppet shows, tantalising challenges and eye-opening exhibitions.”

Last month, Andy Jasper was announced as the Eden Project’s new CEO. He will be leading new projects in Morecambe, Lancashire and Dundee, Scotland.

Jasper joins the Eden Project as its Morecambe development is about to go to tender, and after Eden Project Dundee was granted planning permission.

Also, the Eden Project has introduced a new fleet of pure electric Volvo cars to support its operations across the site and beyond.
