Gateway Ticketing Systems latest webinar explores guest opinions on COVID-19 and attractions

Gateway webinar guest feedback

Gateway Ticketing Systems, a leading provider of admission control systems, is continuing its Webinar Wednesdays series with a look at what guests are thinking.

Gateway Ticketing Systems is pleased to present its next webinar topic: What Are Your Consumers Saying – An Inside Look at Recent Industry Surveys. This is the ninth instalment of the series and will take place on Wednesday 13 May at 2 pm EST.

“Just like you, we’ve been following the industry news and seen the reports of high-profile attractions running consumer surveys to collect the sentiments of their guests,” says Randy Josselyn, co-host of Gateway’s Webinar Wednesdays series.

“The goals of the surveys span the gamut, but congregate around one key theme – it’s about asking the questions we all want answered: When we reopen, what will make guests feel safe and comfortable enough to return? When will they return? What are they willing to pay? And what experiences are they expecting?”

Exploring consumer opinions

“Understandably so, we don’t have full access to the results of these surveys,” says Peter Wolf, Director of Sales and Marketing at Gateway Ticketing Systems. “But, we do have relationships with the insights and analytics organizations that are running these surveys.

“So we decided to bring some of them together for an industry discussion. While they can’t cite all the results of their respective surveys, they’ll be able to report out on the trends they are seeing and answer many of the questions we all have.”

The webinar will feature a representative from BVA BDRC, talking about its report on what consumers are feeling about COVID-19. Also speaking will be a team member from Decision House, who collected consumer feedback for the Association of Leading Visitor Attraction’s (ALVA) Recovery Tracker in the UK.

“If you want to know what your guests are thinking right now in terms of what they expect from you when you reopen, this is the webinar for you,” says Josselyn.

“We’re aiming to help attractions that don’t have the time or resources to solicit the opinions of their guests. And for the attractions that have already done this, we want to provide a place to have new and different questions answered, and even hear from them during the webinar.”

Watch again

Last week’s webinar is also available to watch online for those that missed it, and this session looks at the topic of pricing. The discussion included questions such as whether to reduce prices, since many will be unable to offer the full experience, or to keep admission costs the same, or even raise them to make up for the loss in revenue.

During the session, operators and pricing consultants explored these options, as well as looking at ways to add value to the guest experience. Utah’s Hogle Zoo, which has now reopened, presented their own case study.

Josselyn also recently appeared on the AttractionPros Podcast with Josh Liebman and Matt Heller, sharing his expertise in the industry. He touched on empowering employees, and why he loves the industry, as well as talking about the need to respond to the current situation.

Gateway is also continuing to work with The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, providing its Galaxy software as the museums ticketing and admission control solution. Gateway has worked with the Museum for 17 years.
